20 032 / 20 031 & The Blue Train at Cliffdale (8th May 2015).

20 032 / 20 031 and The Blue Train return to Pretoria after spending the weekend in Durban for the 2015 Tourism Indaba. The weather once again managed to conspire against us (10th May 2015).

With the sun almost set, 18-802 / 18-807 and the Blue Train are climbing the hill into Cedara Station, as they leave Durban behind, bound for Pretoria. The train has just emerged from Cedara Tunnel, which at 6.8 kilometers in length, is the second longest tunnel in South Africa.

Miserable weather for the Blue Train's visit to Durban this weekend. On the front (and looking fantastic!!) were 18-802 & 18-807, seen here passing through Cato Ridge Station (20th September 2014).

Brand new to the Transnet Freight Rail fleet, 18-773 & 18-772 passing through Umlaas Road, as they leave KwaZulu Natal with one of the beautiful and prestigious Blue Train sets, bound for Johannesburg. The real time route camera can be seen mounted to the left of the Blue Train headboard, which provides passengers on board with video footage of the road ahead of the train (17th November 2013).

18-387 & The Blue Train - Durban (6th July 2013).

The Blue Train (the reserve set I gather) came down to Durban early on Friday morning for the Tourism Indaba currently on at the ICC from the 11th - 14th May 2013. Despite my best efforts to get at least one decent photo over the weekend, this is the best I can offer. 18-156 & The Blue Train from the Alice Street Bridge as they left Durban Station for the trip back to Pretoria at 16:45 this afternoon (12th May 2013).
