PRASA have recently introduced a new passenger service between Johannesburg and Durban. The consist is a mix of their flagship Premier Classe and economy Shosholoza Meyl coaches. It leaves Johannesburg on a Thursday evening and arrives Durban on a Friday morning. The train is then staged in Durban and returns to Johannesburg on a Sunday evening. This is 18-430 with the Durban bound train at the busy crossing at Cliffdale and is about to be taken off the main line and put onto the loop line through Cliffdale Station for some reason or another (8th May 2015).

Early morning and 18-052 / 18-230 / 18-329 are outward bound from Durban with a load of containers. The train has just passed the Nelson Mandela Capture Site at Lions River in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands (15th November 2014).

Late on an autumn afternoon at Boughton as 18-266 runs contra flow with a load of Anhydrous Ammonia tanker wagons (29th May 2012).

A Cessna overshot the end of a runway on landing at a private airstrip on a farm on the top of Balgowan and came to rest next to the up line (11th May 2012). Luckily no loss of life or injuries!
