The first one off the Indonesian registered Kato Bangga in Durban, South Africa. No. 1908-5 is one of the eighteen Chinese built diesel locomotives for SNCC (Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer du Congo) in the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) - 19th May 2015.

37-069 / 37-089 / 37-079 as light locomotives cross the Umgababa River on their way back to their depot (Wentworth) in Durban (19th May 2015.

10M5 Metro.........going away! A Durban / Kelso set is just leaving Warner Beach Station on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast (14th May 2015).

Built by RRL Grindrod South Africa for Camrail in Cameroon, via the newly formed rail leasing company of GPR Leasing (Grindrod / Pembani venture). GPR 30-03 is pictured here staged at the Point Yard adjacent to the main entrance to Durban Harbour along with GPR 30-04. They are awaiting the arrival of a ship to take them to Cameroon where they will join GPR 30-01 & GPR 30-02 who are already there.

20 032 / 20 031 & The Blue Train at Cliffdale (8th May 2015).

20 032 / 20 031 and The Blue Train return to Pretoria after spending the weekend in Durban for the 2015 Tourism Indaba. The weather once again managed to conspire against us (10th May 2015).

PRASA have recently introduced a new passenger service between Johannesburg and Durban. The consist is a mix of their flagship Premier Classe and economy Shosholoza Meyl coaches. It leaves Johannesburg on a Thursday evening and arrives Durban on a Friday morning. The train is then staged in Durban and returns to Johannesburg on a Sunday evening. This is 18-430 with the Durban bound train at the busy crossing at Cliffdale and is about to be taken off the main line and put onto the loop line through Cliffdale Station for some reason or another (8th May 2015).
